Andy P hit two singles and sent the final ball for a massive straight 6, which was our winning margin. 35 extras helped LTCC to 209 for 2.

Andy opened the bowling but the batsmen liked his pace so came off after 2 overs. Brian 8 overs, 2 maidens 1 for 26 had a good debut as an opening bowler at 59 years and 10 months! Mike B 8 overs 1 for 26 tightened thinks up but Newbold were still chasing well. Stew 6 overs 2 for 32 and Tony 3 overs 1 for 14 with a C&B put the pressure on Newbold as the run rate went up to 6’s. Clem 5 overs for 31 and Amos 5 overs 2 for 35 completed the bowling. Tony came back to bowl the last over with Newbold needing 15 to win. Despite Tony’s 2 wides they only managed 9 closing on 203 for 7. LTCC won by 6 runs. 3 catches for Tony!! A stumping for Dan. Good tea. They now have a tea lady.

Ian caught the same batsman a couple of overs later. Dan claimed 3 stumpings and Chris took a diving 1 handed catch at point off Tony's bowling. LCOB went from 151 for 3 to 162 all out.

With Tony and Andrew both 0 not out.
Amos 8 overs 5 for 38 and Tony 8 overs 1 for 18 opened the bowling. Amos having a first spell of 4 overs for 16 before coming back at the death to take his maiden 5 wickets for the club.
James bowled very well taking 1 for 14 from his 8 overs. Chris V returned tidy figures of 8 overs 0 for 25. Dale 5 overs for 25 and Zaheer 3 overs for 16. Gumley never managed to keep up with the run rate and closed on 145 for 7. 3 dropped catches at the start of Gumely's innings didn't bode well but this all changed with good catches taken by Dale, John M, good running catch by James, Tony poched a skier and a C&b by Amos.
